What is Fool For You?
Fool For You is a company that designs and markets Christian T-shirts and Christian Apparel directly through our online store.
Our products have thought-provoking, sometimes humorous, messages and artwork which aim to give God glory and bring joy to people, encouraging them in their walk with God.
We have a foolish name but a serious message, a seriously cool message! We like to jest, especially if we can take people by surprise with good news truths. It will only help of course if everyone who buys products from Fool For You does their best to live out the ethics of Christ's teaching especially as they are found in the Sermon on the Mount (but we couldn't fit the sermon on the shirts).
So our motto is: Be like Christ. Live the truth. Lavish love. Whatever the cost!
Fool (fūl)
1. One who is deficient in judgment. (not us)
2. To act or speak in jest. (us)
3. To take unaware. (us for sure!)
We enjoy marketing our stuff and want to make a fair profit while selling it to you at less than what you'd expect to pay prices.
What's with the name?
The name is quite clever you see. It can be read fool for "you", and the "you" takes on the meaning "Jesus" in which case the meaning is basically "I love Jesus a whole lot."
It could also be read "fool" for you, in which case the meaning is basically "Jesus played the fool for you."
We expect all our shirt wearers to know which shirt lends itself to which theological meaning, even though we put a little crossbeam on the "U" signifying that in most cases we intend "you" to take on the former meaning above that of "Jesus." However if you are struggling to understand the difference, the best thing to do is not to worry. Buy one of every shirt and one of every hat and you'll be covered!
